With thanks to ‘Moms With Apps Daily News’, ‘The Educational Apps Daily News’ and the ‘San Diego CUE’ for featuring a valued article about The Flitlits and Seldom See by experienced educator Jo Booth as seen here:
Jo Booth OTR/L has been an Occupational Therapist for over 35 years, and currently practices at EasterSeals of SEPA, Montgomery County Division mainly focusing on Early Intervention. It is an APS (Approved Private School) and home outreach based setting. In addition, she works part-time for Lipa Learning helping to edit and write curricula and writes reviews for several websites including Bluebee Pals and Teachers With Apps. I am grateful every day that I can play and learn from others.
Developmental Play and Learning is dedicated to assisting parents, teachers, and clinicians to get the most out of apps, toys, and games through playful-learning. As Play is an occupation that spans the lifetime of an individual, it is an important aspect of what it means to be human. It is through the medium of play that learning and discovery take place. In play, we try on new personas, practice life skills, and refine who we are in the world. As we gain experience, play is an ever-changing venue in which to master skills. So try on that new hat, build something, and learn to communicate your intent. THAT is what makes us human – to be on the edge of new discoveries every day.
